Are there similar shows to this hilarious show?

This show is out of this world! It's basically the funniest show in recent years, hands down!

Anyone know if there are other similar shows to this one? And what about that NTSF:SD:SUV show? Has it been aired yet?

The spin-off is set to premiere on July 21, 2011.
As for recommendations, I'd say Eagleheart which recently aired

I'd check out "Party Down" it's very funny. Ran for two seasons and also has Ken Marino and Megan Mulally from Children's Hospital in it as well.

British series Garth Marenghi's Darkpalce had a similar premise: a deliberately badly produced show with idiotic characters set in a hospital. There should be some clips on youtube.

I'd recommend Stella very highly. One of the funniest tv shows out there. It is David Wain's sketch group, who writes and develops most of childrens' hospital. Hes also in a few episodes (Rabbi Jewy McJewjew and the director)

I guess you're not in the UK, otherwise you'd know of Green Wing. There are full episodes on YouTube's comedy TV shows. Check them out.

'Course, they may stream in the UK only. That would be cool, the usual situation is the reverse.

Strangers with Candy. Same off beat humor that pushes boundaries. Great slapstick and great cast. Highly recommended!

Yup Strangers is probably the closest thing. Good call. Party Down is/was great. But not the same type of comedy at all. Good cast though

I got the 1st two Seasons of Childrens Hospital on DVD & agree it's one of the best shows I've seen in years. It's little things they throw in that crack me up such as when nurse Lola 'returns' from death & at least 3 people that see her scream & yell 'A G-G-G-G-G-G-G-GHOST!!!!' To anyone that loves the old Casper cartoons this was hilarious to me especially to see humans yelling it! As far as other shows 'Curb your Enthusiasm' is always good in a pinch & I recently bought 'Flight of The Conchords' and found it really entertaining!! I love Kirsten Schaal (Mel) who stalks the two 'folk' singers. Her hubby Doug drives her everywhere to stalk them! That's funny! And speaking of 'Childrens', 'Curb', & 'Conchords', these are 3 excellent shows that don't have a lame-azz laugh-tracks like so many networks shows. I like it when I'm the only one laughing in the room. That's always a great sign of a great show. I've never watched 'Raymond', '2 1/2 Men', Nanny or any of this other mindless pap. I always sit silently listening to the TV laughing. God, it's horrible!

Not really. Eagleheart is kinda awful, and NTSF wasn't so great either, although the fake promo that aired during Children's Hospital was one of the funniest bits ever. Police Squad and the Naked Gun films, as well as the Airplane! movies is really the closest I can think of. IE making fun of a lot of tropes, and the dialogue usually hinges on awkward semantic misunderstandings...
