bad acting!? *spoiler*

i just watched this movie and thought it was fantastic.
i was astonished to read some reviews panning the standard of the acting in the film. I personally thought all three lead characters (especially the girl, the 'worst' actor) did an exceptionally good job. I found them very convincing and actually became emotionally attached to the characters. I actually wanted them to survive, as usually in movies like this i don't really care if there's no character development, however in this i believed there was. I thought the scene where the guy was getting eaten, and the dude and the girl were crying and screaming was brilliant. And when she was talking about nobody being home to feed her dog i actually welled up!
Regardless of what critics are saying about this movie, the damn movie was good and the acting was also *beep* good. what more do they want, just criticising a good movie for no reason.

I agree, the acting was realistic and natural - people are just too desenitised to wooden, Hollywood acting so real, genuine and pure acting looks fake to them.

In reality, speech is broken, conversations are not one talks then the next person, ect. This film had very realistic acting and dialogue and people aren't used to it thanks to the wooden, fake world of Hollywood.

Agreed. I was doing my computer watching this and I could pretend (when I was looking at the screen) I was typing while listening to my "friends" having a conversation. I do think there are plenty of movies with realistic acting and I can recognize when a movie uses unrealistic acting to make a point, go with the mood, etc.

Pretend something pithy is here.
