Horror movies based on human error

I would put this movie into a subcategory of "human error horror" - a movie where some simple and stupid mistake by humans puts people into a life and death situation. Such movies are effective because they show how easily we can all end up in some unreal situation, which we could never imagine happening to us. It shows us how easily a system can fail.

A prominent example of such horror if Open Water (2003) about divers being left into open water by accident. Frozen (2010) is also quite good. There is an old movie called Lady in a Cage (1964), about a woman being stuck in an elevator, which could also classify.

Can anybody name additional movies of that kind.

Try the entire I Shouldn't Be Alive tv series...

Thanks, that seems like an interesting tv series.

That's a very good series. True stories also which makes it even better.

I just learned about a movie called 247 F (2011), which apparently can be added to this list. Its about a group of people being locked in a sauna. I have not seen it and, frankly, the trailer looked so stupid that I probably won't. So I don't know how these people got locked into sauna, but if it happened by some freak accident, then this movie suits well under the category of "human error horror".

I just watched a wonderful thriller The Hidden Face (2011), which is also a movie where the central premise is a freak accident caused by human error. See the link here:
