Why wouldn't they...

Tie they're clothes together and climb down?

"Why couldn't the monkey arrange this from INSIDE the garbage can?"

Seems like someone would 1) use an article of clothing, wrapped around each wrist, to shimmy down the wire to the ladder or 2) shimmy (for lack of the name of the maneuver) with one leg over the wire as you soldiers do or 3) zip their coats together to conserve heat loss.

I always wondered that too. Seems like they could have at least made a rope that would get them halfway down and jump the rest of the way. Another thing that annoyed me is they waited until the guy in the plow left to start throwing things down. Why didn't they throw their hats, glasses, skis etc right as he arrived? Not when he was backing up.

reply

They didn't throw it before because they assumed they were already seen.

Or more intelligently...jump down in front of the plow instead of waiting like morons. They would have had to jump eventually...and had one jumped when the plow arrived they'd have all survived, broken leg or not. That's why this flick epic fails because there are loads of ways for them to have gotten down. Of course, it does show how millennials have no problem solving abilities, like real life, so perhaps this film is smarter than I give it credit for.
