Haven't I seen this before?
I loved Black Water and having technical failiure at Frightfest I was so looking forward to finally seeing this - but wasn't it pretty much the same as Open Water Adrift...or even Open Water?

shareYes I agreee... first glance at its poster already reminds me of Open Water... too many rehashes these days in the movie industry!
shareBoohoo, people are so lame, why can't they come up with a totally different shark movie? I'm so with you. If I were to make a shark flick I would, first of all, make sure there would be no ocean, it's been done before, overrated. Instead I would have the movie take place in space. Boom, totally creative. Then I would get rid of the typical sharks, cause how cliche can you get, right? I would instead use a really cool hybrid of a shark and a cow. That's right, a shark with b&w spots. And last but not least, what is up with people being attacked viciously in these movies and why do they make such a big deal out of it all crying and screaming and fighting? Nobody wants to see blood and chaos in shark movies, it's just not entertaining. Why not take a whole new perspective and build the movie on a growing friendship between the shark/cow hybrid and our characters. Now that would make a cool movie!
Are people kidding me with the "But it's so cliche..." *beep* Cliche is good, it's cliche for a reason. The ONLY reason people watch shark movies is to see cool sharks in action, in other words, attacking people. That's it. What other elements would you want to see in a shark movie? My gosh, tasteless people with their unreasonable expectations...
