OK, if you were in the exact same situation, what would you have done to ensure survival?

Honestly, I don't know. I think, I think I would have tried to swim. But like I said in another post a weapon of some sort would have been taken with me or I would have stayed on the boat. I would have tried to have salvaged as much food and, if they had it, bottled water as possible just in case. That would be for either situation, on the boat or swimming. It just seems so much more hopeless to me sitting on the back of a boat drifting. Yes, swimming in the ocean is very dangerous but at least they knew land was back there.
