So many of you are saying "Haven't these people seen the National Geographic shows about sharks?" or "man haven't they ever seen the survival shows?"
what a crap load of arrogance from you people. Do you really think if this happened to you that you'd be calm enough to make those decisions? Doubtful, very very doubtful.
Fear is one of the most powerful emotions on earth, if you're not an actual true survivalist or expert on the subjects of sharks, boating accidents, open ocean survival, geography, etc. then I doubt you'd actually be able to handle a situation like this.
