No suspense and could have been 30 mins shorter

Extended scenes of people looking around constantly felt really anti-climatic. Out in the open ocean you can't really do anything but swim towards land. You aren't going to fight a shark with your bare hands and you aren't going to out swim it. Panicking does nothing, neither does constantly looking at a shark with your goggles, or swimming up to a turtle shell. And how the hell do you keep letting go of your float boards??? You have ONE thing to hold on to, ONE; these god damn Aussies.

Suzie, #1 useless whiny chick. That scene where they were so close to land, but Suzie decided to panic and stall which let's the shark nomnom her up and then Luke and Kate swim literally like 10 meters and sit down and then say "Poor Suzie". WTF.

Luke, keep your goggles on so you don't have to keep putting them back on after every scene.

Kate, who cares if it's the same shark, you gonna prosecute the serial killer shark?
