Liked the movie...BUT! spoilers

I enjoy monster movies like this. They keep me on the edge of my seat and keep my heart racing. Suspense is awesome. However, although I enjoyed the movie and the shark shots were brilliant I was very highly annoyed at the characters in this movie. First of all why the hell panic so much when you know theres a shark in the water? The screaming, thrashing and crying was so fustrating I was literally yelling at the TV. Isn't it common sense to keep still and be quiet if a shark is near? Why attract its attention more? Why make it more curious ? I mean yeh you would be scared and be panicking but as a matter of survival wouldnt you keep still and keep quiet to ward off its attention? Stupid! Like if a bee came flyin around you stay still to avoid bein stung right? Right!
Also, did anyone else think the woman at the end made a half ass attempt at saving Luke? I didn't really see her trying to pull him up. No real effort was made she just grabbed at him with one hand and I didn't see no effort in pulling him up unless I missed that since it was such a chaotic scene. Even he was yelling at her to pull him up maybe because he felt like she wasn't really trying. Or maybe I knew he was gunna die so I'm being hard on her. Lol.
Oh totally glad the Blondie died though cause my God she was so annoying. I think I would have kicked her whiny, dumb butt to the sharks ages ago. How they had enough patience to deal with her breakdown I have no idea. She had me tearing my hair out in fustration. Why is there always one girl in horror movies who have to have a breakdown and act totally irrational in a crucial moment of the movie? Gives us women a bad rep it does. Lol.

Yes, I have this complaint every time I watch it as well. It's like, "Pull him up, bitch!"

But then again, you have to remember - by that point in the movie, they are all super tired and sore, very weak. I am sure it was very difficult for her to attempt to pull him up.

But then I also think, maybe adrenaline would have kicked in? And would have given her some strength?

I don't know.

The ratio of people to cake is too big.

OH MY GOD -- Luke did not deserve to die. I knew he would saving her-- But she didn't help, She may have been sore but it didn't even look like she was even trying and then LUKE dies.

I am not amused with this film-- I was still half expecting him to sprout out of the water- but no, they basically killed off her entire family whilst she yelled: Come home, come home.

Rant over: I wanted Luke to survive from the beginning-- but as soon as they told one another they loved each other. I knew one of the would die.

I agree-- when they first saw the shark, they began to thrash violently-- STAY STILL-- that will bring anything toward you.

--Sorry for the rant. It just annoyed me is all haha xD

Completely agree with you: I couldn't wait for the screaming, thrashing blonde to die- she was SO annoying!
I didn't get to the end because she was still alive and irritating me, so I've just switched off to go to bed (-it's 02:15 here).
Nightie night, all
