Girl who survived was REALLY *beep* annoying!

She literally spent the whole movie hyperventilating with wide eyes and holding everyone up at every possible moment, then at the end, when she had one thing to do, pull the guy up, she barely even made an attempt to!

By the end I wanted her to die just so the rest would have a chance!

OK so she was meant to be scared and all, but she just struck me as an all round useless b***h.

Another thing, why the hell did they stop at EVERY rock along the way to the island at the end, then only in the last 100 yards or so did the guy figure out that they should just swim hell for leather and stop dossing about on every rock for some sappy love scene???

Grrrr.

Actually i thought the girl who died before her was much much worse. Wide eyes and hyperventilating isn't an exagerration of what you'd really be doing if this was happening to you.

Who cares. He's right. She was annoying, and should have died for being so annoying.

I found myself thinking both girls looked a lot alike. But can you honestly say that you wouldn't be useless if you saw your two friends die in front of you in the most gruesome way and you are likely to have the same fate?!

Thanks for telling me the end, because she pissed me off so much with all of that heavy breathing and her irritatingly deep voice that I stopped watching it, rated it ONE STAR out of 5 and deleted it from my Netflix Instant Queue.

How the director could possibly think that her noises made this more "suspenseful" or worth watching is beyond me.

I have to agree with your post. This is not a bad flick but not a great one either. One of the difficulties I had with it was the constant whingeing and screaming and complaining from that girl. None of that was going help anything under their circumstances and all she did was grate on my nerves. I thought it was awful that she was the only one who survived. I'm also tired of female characters being portrayed that way. One of the reasons that I liked Alien years ago, is that while Lambert was screaming and getting in the way, Ripley was THINKING and determined to survive the nightmare.

I guess fright and panic bring out the worst in some people. I hope if I'm ever in any type of disaster it's not with someone who reacts that way.

Every single rock they found she held him up. She always hypoventilated. She kept saying they were going to die, she cut her foot so there was a blood trail. He was begging her to pull him up after he helped her up but she just held his hand and sobbed until the shark inevitably got him. She did some stupid chewbakka mating call once he died then she started crying which sounded like the f&#king Jack Nicholson Joker. A truely awful and annoying character I was rooting for the shark.

Whereas you, of course, would have maintained the impressive cool you display on these boards. You would have had a barely raised rate of breathing, would have bravely and calmly saved everybody in sight.Yeah, Right .

I know it's a true story an all. I would of stayed on that boat and hoped for the best..

Swimming to an island they can't even see, against the current, with to sub par swimmers..

NO GOD DAM WAY..

She was annoying, not as annoying as the other one... When he was helping her onto the rock, he kept kopping a feel..

He through the water away when he was ten yards from the rock island....

I thought he was just as annoying, I would of stayed n boat with the beers, let me Wondeful do the heroics...
