The extreme close up of the horse near the end

On the fifth day the cab man opens the door of the stable in the morning and the camera zooms in on the horse's face. The steed, which has refused to eat for the last couple of days has a certain sadness in his eyes, conveying a loss of hope, made me shed a couple of tears.

This never happened during my recent viewing of War Horse. Just sayin'.

ENOUGH from the clown!!!!!!!!

I wasn't exactly blown away by either of the two horse movies, although this one has the slight edge in cinematography, making it my choice.

that horse was an amazing actor. did you see the tears falling from its eyes when it was being slapped by the reins? We saw it in the theater last night. that horse was spilling tears. Maybe it was the wind, but, man, that added to the emotion.

Also note how the horse hung its head lower and lower throughout the movie. how'd they get it to do that?

Amazing film.

Dictated, but not read.

It was an absolutely heart-crushing scene. The horse is the star of the film (as the title indicates).
