It should be noted that the RiffTrax ONLY syncs up with the official Severin Films DVD and Blu-Ray releases.

The Severin release omits a scene that was featured in the previous release of the film. So, for those who downloaded the film or, like me, owned a copy of the original Moviehead Pictures DVD release, you're out of luck.

How so? The whole thing about syncing the mp3 file to the movie - and why Disembodeo is there - is that once in awhile you have to pause one of them so that they match up again....

So, when it gets to that scene (something about the boy hurting his leg at the beach) you stop the Rifftrax until that scene is over.

Not as easy as usual but not impossible.

After reading your other posts you're clearly someone with a stake in this film.

By the way internet downloads are usually ripped from the 'offical' dvds.

I discovered this film at Sundance '09. I was working with TromaDance, actually alongside the guys who wound up getting 'Birdemic' picked up by Severin Films. We were among the first who publicly saw the film and were just blown away it...being Troma employees, we've seen more than our fair share of super-low-budget crapfests, so we knew pure gold when we saw it. The Tromadance crew all had early DVD copies of the film and we all hyped it up until it finally (and very unexpectedly) broke into the mainstream. It's very exciting to see this little film that we initially saw screened in a restaurant to less than 10 people suddenly appear on CNN and in major magazines...I thought it would forever circulate in underground so-bad-its-good tape-trading circles. I don't have stake in the film, but yes, I'm very much a fanboy. Old-school, dawg.

The bootleg torrent circulating on the internet is from the previous DVD release, at least the ones I've seen. I'm sure someone's gotten around to uploading the current Severin cut, but the version that's been up the longest is the older one.

I saw it. Pretty funny, buy a horrible, horrible movie.

"You're gonna make this look good in post, right?"
