But I think this is officially the worst movie I've ever seen. Usually people just say that as a slight exaggeration, however, this IS officially, without any bit of exaggeration, the worst movie I've ever seen.

I came across this thanks to the guys from Rifftrax and MST3K. I've watched their stuff religiously for the past decade. Up until this point I thought Manos was the worst movie ever, but this one.....even with the guys riffing it it's still extremely unbearable to watch.

But you know what the worst part is? I saw this movie last week in Best Buy on DVD. How the hell did they get to be able to mass produce this garbage?!?!?

the invisible hand of supply and demand buddy. people want it, so they make it. like they did with Gilli, Last Action Hero, Transformers, Crossroads, and other movies.

Yes, but those "bad" films, TRANSFORMERS and LAST ACTION HERO are still ten times better than BIRDEMIC.

I think the worst films ever gain cult status because word of mouth, and a film fan's goal to see "the worst film ever". Some distributors cash in on notorious bad films, even some will promote the film as such, like those PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE dvds.
