never certain if they did - or didn't.

SPOILER ALERT!
Too bad. It would've been nice, considering Firth's character had only
hours to live, and his attraction to Kenny represented his recommitting
to life.

I don't think so. I'm sure George thought about it once or twice and Kenny was definitely willing to give himself to George, but I don't think anything good would have come from it. If anything, George's last few hours probably gave Kenny hope and inspiration to be himself. I imagine probably somewhere in the time between the Stonewall riots and Harvey Milk's rise to power in San Francisco was when Kenny probably officially came out and lived a more emotionally open life.
