Lots of theories concerning the new Bond movie

Personally, even though I have seen all the Bond movies, mostly in the theaters (I am 72 as of this writing), I am not sure how they can "resurrect" Bond without looking foolish.
Of course, several of the movies were so close to "science fiction", that I wouldn't be surprised that they do some kind of "Marvel-like" resurrection.
Reading a few of the theories posted on here, there are a lot of crazy ideas.
But, then, that's what makes this site so much fun.

Bond's death isn't a problem. They'll just reboot the series. Besides continuity hasn't been very important in Bond franchise before, they were stuck to it only during the Craig era. Craig's storyline formed an entity of it's own and they won't continue from the ending of No Time to Die. Barbara Broccoli has said that they'll have to "re-invent" Bond. That means probably lots of changes. That might be good, or not. Hopefully they won't go back to Brosnan era. That was one of the most boring and staled period of time in the history of Bond franchise. Casino Royale brought Bond kicking and screaming back alive from the brink of death.

For me, there will be no Bond better than Sean Connery.

Connery's era was before I was born, so he is a bit distant to me, but he is one of the three greats (others being Moore and Craig).

His era was before you, but with modern technology, it wouldn't be too hard to familiarize yourself with his movies. Not saying you have to, but it's there if you are curious.

It's not a question of not seeing his movies, trust me, I've seen them so many times that I have memorized them. From Russia with Love and Thunderball are among my favourite Bonds. Goldfinger on the other hand, I find a bit overrated. Would have helped if I had seen it in 1964 with fresh eyes. The first Bond I saw was Moonraker in 1979 at age of 9 or 10 and it made me instantly a fan of the series. After that I saw re-runs of these movies in theater, Connery's and Moore's films in a mixed order.

Connery is the 10/10
Craig is the 9.9

Yup, though Octopussy was one of the lesser Moore films. It bordered on slapstick comedy.

Aaron Taylor Johnson simply does not look like BOND.. They missed the boat with Edris Elba

Aaron gets a bad rap. I don't understand all the hate he gets. I have seen him in several films, and when he has to, he hides his English accent very well.
I can understand why some people think he is a wooden actor, but then again, like for instance, in Godzilla (2014), let's realize that that film was not made for a lot of great human dialogue (although Ken Watanabe did have the best lines), just monster-on-monster action. So Aaron was not given any truly complex dialogue to work with.
As to Idris Elba, he is, in my estimation, a great actor. Just not sure how an African-American actor would work as Bond. Look what happened when they made a movie about a historical white queen but cast Jodie Turner-Smith in the role. There was a massive outrage and outcry against the film.
