Start the movie with the end of a previous Bond movie

Imagine something like the usual 5-10 minutes pre titles credits scene, 007 at the end of a random mission.. But in the final minute we see *shock* its the end of one of the previous films e.g. Dr No (the end set piece but done huge with a Dr No lookalike), or Golden Gun (facing off against Scaramanga/ChristopherLee lookalike in the fun house ) or Spy (facing off against Jaws) or View to A Kill (Golden Gate/Max Zorrin) or even as recent as Goldeneye or Casino Royale (a way of showing its an all new 007 starting his 1st mission, but Dr No probably work better for that)...

whatever film it is its be done big budget/todays FX with lookalikes as the familiar villains (not deepfake, or maybe a slight df makeover if necessary), and wouldn't have to adhere exactly there could be some twist showing a slightly different outcome (e.g. Goldeneye could show Bond diving off the dam like he did in the opening to escape from the satellite base exploding)

Then the main film starts and its the usual business of today themes/concerns/issues in a Bond film.. Probably the big villain gets hold of advanced AI and sets about building a Skynet type system..

Then Bond 27 could use another previous film in the opening and it could become a tradition.. Which old Bond film are they gonna recreate in the opening..

An interlude to the films? So Bond wouldn't get resurrected but inserted into the existing history-line.

Ok, my guess is it'll be a completely new concept. But there could be some nostalgia thrown in.

Similar idea but this is what I proposed on this thread, in terms of bringing Max Zorin back:-

...can we even be sure that Max Zorin is dead?

We only see him splashing into the tropical waters of the San Francisco bay. I'm pretty sure he could have made it safely back to shore.

In fact I was hypothesising as much last night when I came up with an incredible pitch (if I do say so myself) to save the Bond franchise!

As we all know, the much hated Craig era was much hated. However, that was already a reboot, which we can all choose to ignore should we so wish.

But the original Bond - last seen in the criminally underrated Die Another Day is still very much alive!

My proposal is this:-

We return to Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. A now retired (properly cause he's old, not that Craig, shirtless and sipping Heinekens nonsense) 007 who finds himself the victim of an assassination attempted by someone who looks exactly like a CGI de-aged clone of Pierce Brosnan!

How can this be you ask? Well it's because Max Zorin - who survived his plunge - has (with the help of an old Nazi pal of Dr Mortner) cloned Bond and raised the steroid fuelled crazed duplicate with an unstoppable desire to kill Bond!

Being the modern era, Bond will require a diverse band of friends to help him stop Zorin and his crazed Bond clone from executing their revenge.

I can see Anya Joy Taylor and Michael B Jordan filling these roles to breath new life into the franchise...

So we'd get a continuation of sorts and get Bond back...

Wow thats an awesome plot, Gemini Man meets View to a Kill and Never Say Never Again!

And I guess Walken could return as Zorin bc why not (Walkens Zorin existed in the preCraig universe which included Brosnan). And Dench was M again in CR so all bets are off, in fact she could return as (retired) M again bc different Bondverse to Craig era!

reply

Yeah, exactly - Route would be open for both Walken and Dench (yes you're right, she'd be alive again!) to return.

I always felt Brosnan deserved a better send off from the series, so maybe something like this could deliver on that. Although admittedly it would move the classic Bond era into the same serialisation of Craig's films, which I was no fan of.

So, considering how Bond died in the last film, how do you see him surviving a huge explosion?
