Why did Sarah fake being touched?

Here's one possibility: the story goes that Devil will try to confuse everyone and alienate them to each other. I think she did feel someone touching her, but it was in her head.

She was a blackmailer and a marriage scammer. And that's in a way what she did in that scene. She made it up so that all the other people would built up compassion towards her (at one guy's expense) and thus bringing herself into the save zone.

I always thought is was the devil who did it to cause confusion and mistrust. I didn't think she faked it, rather the devil did it. But bc of the at the film was made, and the characters involved, we don't ever know the real answer,
