So this was spectacularly super

A great show...some great writing, some of the best TV I've seen since...well, probably the haunting of hill house. Kind of the same dysfunctional family dynamic going on, VERY believable characters...
Anyone who hasn't yet decided to check this out, you should at least give an episode or two a shot.
Dramatic television at its finest...some pretty touching, heartfelt moments offset by a little humor and punctuated with some very intense, well-choreographed fighting/battle scenes.
Great show, not sure what more you could want from your entertainment, you know?
9/10

Nope.

This looks pretty bad. Almost like anything Netflix puts out.

You really don’t know what you’re missing.

I agree! Great writing, directing and special effects! I wasn’t expecting anything and was more than pleasantly surprised! I loved Klaus in particular, but the acting was charming and so much fun.

reply

That's a good word for it too, "charming".
Yeah, I'm not much of a fan of any superhero-type entertainment outside of the Marvel movies, so this was a very pleasant surprise. A lot of heart in this series, very well done!

Definite thumbs up to the show!!!

what sold me more than anything was the music selection. i was sold on the show after them all dancing in the first episode

This! them all dancing to "I Think We're Alone Now" got me hooked :)

Matter of taste i guess, the 1st episode got my hopes up, great cast, intriguing premise, originality in an over-exploited genre, then i started recognizing all the secondary roles from sub par Canadians dramas, it started dragging into boring dialogues, poor writing & cliches/ plagiarizing, couldn't make it past the 3rd episode.
If you need a 10 hour show to adapt a comic i could read in 3, time is gonna be wasted, but not @ my expense, you know?

Netflix shows are very repetitive with their themes. You learn something about a character/relationship. Cool. Then they explore that same thing again in the next episode. Then they do it all over again in the next episode. It's the exact same technique to stretch out the story of a soap opera where a whole week's worth of television could be easily condensed into a single episode.

reply

It was alright. Could have easily been cut down to six episodes.

reply

as is usual with every single Netflix series ever
