Season 2 DVD/Blu-ray Details

Earlier today TVShowsonDVD.com reported of Warner Home Video’s plans for the second season release.

V – The Complete Second Season will be released in both DVD and Blu-ray formats on October 18th, 2011. Both formats will include all 10 episodes; the DVD will have 3-discs where the Blu-ray will only have 2. Blu-ray will also be seeing some exclusive features, over an hour to be exact. The article suggests the only feature on the DVD will be deleted scenes. I really hope this is not true, because for WB to stick all good stuff on just the Blu-ray version of any canceled show is just plain foolish and careless. I don’t plan on purchasing this for retail, but when I do get it, I would like it to hurt a little less by having some good special features. This is an early stage though, so hopefully more details come out later. I included the link so you can get a look at the features and the cover art, which is pretty awesome. It figures, the only WB show with a decent cover art this year is the canceled one.

Holy lol @ this poor whining that the Blu-ray has extra features. A superior format that's been out for 5 years now and has much more storage capacity has some extra material fit on the disc? You don't say? I am shocked. SHOCKED.

WB shouldn't even bother with a DVD release at this point. They should just release the Blu-ray and call it a day.

Holy lol @ this poor whining that the Blu-ray has extra features. >>> Yep, just about as bad the rebuttal by egotistical Blu-Ray fanatics.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

The problem I have with Blu-ray is that I much prefer to rent, rather than buy, DVDs. However, some companies make special Blu-rays for rent DVDs, which often contain no features, and sometimes even the soundtrack is worse.

As such, for renting, it's generally better to get the regular DVD. We stopped paying extra to Netflix to rent Blu-ray after getting multiple Blu-rays like this.

It seems that the bastards are still trying to get people to move over to Blu Ray. The masses don't want to move to BR. A lot of dildos are doing this now with movies and tv shows they bring out. Giving the DVD buyer very little and still charging a fortune for it and giving everything to BR buyers and charging a fortune. I will stick to DVD so you can stick every single extra on Blu Ray and nothing on DVD Warner and I'll still buy the DVD version over Blu Ray!. BR is way over hyped. BR sales prove that the public are sticking with DVD for the time being. So start treating the DVD buyer with more *beep* respect and stop trying to force people over to Blu Ray. You try and push me in the direction of Blu Ray Warner (and every other company with their level of mentality) and I will push back harder than you can push!. If movie and TV companies listen to the likes of that fool above then you will sell less on Blu Ray than you ever will sell on DVD. And that IS FACT!. People who hype Blu Ray should not be taken seriously.

DVD is dying and you will be forced to move to Blu-ray eventually. Accept progress. ACCEPT IT! Muhahaha. That's right. Take it bitch. Take that Blu-ray all the way. Oh yeah.

...There. That felt good huh?
