In the original series it was brifely mentioned that the visitors had been defeated in a war with another alien super power.In the new series there was talk that the visitors had attacked other worlds before coming to Earth.Could this had led to a season 3 storyline where the Visitors enemie comes to Earth to do battle with the Visitors.
So it's treason then!
Predator vs. Visitors ? I guess that would have dragged quit a few peoples attention to the TV screen on a weekly basis in a 3rd season.

shareThe original author of the V saga explained that the Lizards were at war with an insect race. Yes, it was heavily influenced by the book "Starship Troopers."
It makes sense if you think about it: Both "Starship Troopers" and "V" are about fascist governments with a heavy-handed military influence. They are almost the same story. In fact, it's probably the same insect race that's pissing off both the Terrans and the Lizards.

He never liked the new "V" miniseries as it was nothing like the original source material. I vaguely remember he said something about regretting not making the insect race more prominent, but that was a long time ago.
