Humans are curious by nature so it's not possible that no human medical staff wouldn't insist on seeing the inside of a V with a use of an MRI. Obviously they would then see the lizard within. Or how about the V telling us about their planet, showing pictures of what it's like or discussing their culture? This show portays humanity as treating the arrival of an advance extraterrestrial species as a common occurrence. Terrible writing that only serves a fairly weak plot layered over a very interesting premise that is squandered away.
