Season 1 wasn't too bad

I bought the Blu-Ray set at Future Shop for only $19.99, it was on sale. It was cheaper than the DVD set for some reason.

I love the original V, even THE FINAL BATTLE, and the TV series that followed. I actually passed on this reboot when it was on the air because it looked like a typical "talkie" sci-fi show rather than an action adventure series like old shows. Not compared to the old V, it's not too bad. I don't care for the overuse of blue screen, Tyler's kind of pain in the ass, and it seems to be taking forever for the major plot points of the old V to come in. A whole Season over and they haven't even touched on the stealing water and harvesting humans for food plot points, unless I missed something. Or does that even happen in this version?

The old V shows are better, but this wasn't as bad as most people say.

It's been a while since I've seen it, but season 2 goes more into detail about their plan, which has more than one agenda. There's an arc where they're investigating souls and trying to figure something out about that, but my memory is fuzzy. And they started a plotline about how the Visitors have been to Earth before so have been plotting this invasion for at least 50 years, I remember being really into that.

I recently bought the series digitally via Google, I have a few shows to watch first but I'm gonna move this to the top of my rewatch list.

I downloaded Season 2, and am gonna check out some episodes maybe later tonight. Jane Badler and Marc Singer from the old V both make guest appearances. I look forward to seeing them.

Six episodes in, and it's probably better than the first Season. Still not better than the original Vs though. And Jane Badler back as Diana in several episodes is great, even if she's just there to chat with Anna. But at least she's in more than one episode like I was thinking.

I finished the Second Season. The show got better as it went on. I wish Marc Singer had appeared in more episodes. He probably would have had the series continued. I wish they had made more Seasons. At least one or two more, but with closure this time. That's one of the things that bothered me about V: THE SERIES (1984).

What sucks is that when the show was first announced ABC said the show had a four-season arc and that they wouldn't keep it on past season four. I know the ratings fell, but I refuse to believe ABC was losing enough money to not give the show at LEAST 10 more episodes, even 20 to finish up the four-season thing.

Just four seasons would've been fine with me. And judging from the first two, they probably wouldn't need to make that many episodes each season anyway.
