Nuclear Strikes
The capability of launching nuclear missiles into space has been available for decades.
That would be attempted continuously until the very end. It would probably prove to be effective enough.
Agreed, Newton's Third Law of Motion is well known and predictable but we would not have a movie if we did not pretend it didn't work, would we?
