Much as I enjoyed series 1...

...I was disappointed by the final episode, which seemed at one at the same time to provide unsatisfying answers to mysteries, and shoe-horn in an awful lot of information at the same time.

Here's hoping the pacing of series 2 is tighter, so that each episode satisfies in itself, while also maintaining narrative threads across the series as a whole, so that, when we're given the final reveal, we don't think "Wha?" but "Oh, of course!" - the way that a good mystery should, when we realise we've been given all the information we needed, but been cleverly misdirected.

I think what I'm hoping for is something like series two of "The League of Gentlemen", which I thought had cracking episodes, while keeping up the thread of "the special stuff"; although, if I remember rightly, the League themselves regard this as their least favourite series!
