shareIts a real shame as i seriously love Psychoville! The only reason im 99.9% certain series 3 wont happen is because i had a brief chat with Reece Shearsmith on twitter....
Me: Sorry to bug you but im just curious, has series 3 been commissioned??
Reece: Of course not!
Me: Sorry...i dont know how these things work
Reece: To be honest there just isnt any interest for it
Me: OMG im honestly so sad right now! Sorry to ask a dumb question but when you say theres no interest,do you mean from the beeb?
Reece: Yes
Me:Dammit! Its Red Dwarf all over again! Very funny, huge fanbase-simply cut ties and not recommissioned!
He later posted a message on twitter for all his followers to see that said something along the lines of: 'To all the people asking me about series 3,if it was a weather report the outlook would not be good!'.
So im guessing us hardcore psychoville fans have to be happy with what we have got!
That`s sad and bad news, but it doesn`t suprise that something unique, funny, moving, dark and risk taking isn`t a ratings winner, and it`s why I don`t watch much telly. It`s all bloody dancing, singing and cheap reality based stuff, and the same old soulless, tried and tested formulaic rubbish. Oh well, I`ve got the DVD`s.
shareHonestly couldnt agree more! It really is just cheap TV, and desperate fame hungry tragic cases who want to sell their soul for 5mins of fame! Like you say DVD is the way forward!!
shareReece sounded like he was being a bit of a jerk, to be honest. Okay, a third series didn't get commissioned, but he didn't have to snap at you like that. You were expressing interest in something he created, you'd think he'd appreciate that.
shareBloody bastards. I need more. My toads are getting nervous.
