The Nazi Angle Is Really Disturbing
I had no problem with the incestuous relationship, regurgitation between mother and son, or even performing a blood transfusion for a doll, but this Nazi storyline is quite unsettling.

shareI don't think it's that shocking. The whole nazi-angle is so surreal that it doesn't quite disturb me. The idea of a Jeremy or a Joy is far creepier and more believable than this underground Nazi coup.
shareNazis have been done to death.
shareI don't mind...
Nazis, especially Nazi doctors add creepiness.
And that's what this show is about!
Yeah, we even had nazi's in a kid show.

Grew up with this. Brilliant show. Don't know if anyone apart from Holland or Germany had this. It tackled controversial subjects like racism, aids, post-colonial Europe and the decline of the monarchy. And all presented through these adorable ducks, crows, storks, moles and other fluffy characters.
I thought it was hysterical, especially the "Tomorrow Belongs to Tea" mug. That killed me!
"Rock is dead! Long live Paper and Scissors!"
I agree with the OP the Nazi angle seem to take the show out of the fantasy zone and into the real world which I did not like.
shareSurely the Nazi plot was by far the most fantastical of the story's elements? The rest was surreal, but more or less grounded in reality - moreso than the resurrection of a dead Nazi anyway.
These bastards!
I'm Jewish and "lost" three quarters of my relatives to Nazi death camps. I have no issues with the portrayal of Nazis as evil scum and whenever I get in touch with my "dead" relatives they always agree with me.
shareI once really drunk and freaked out by a guy in a full Nazi uniform at the club in September after watching Inglourious Basterds. If I was sober I would have been fine.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
