Too bad there wasn't a *spoilers*

I really hoped for a huge epic fight between Po and lord Shen. Like in kung fu panda 1, but with one little change. Don't let Po kick the villain's ass so good. Tai-lung was just helpless against Po. I really hoped Lord Shen would be more of a challenge, but Po kicked his ass again, but now without the ending fight. There wasn't really a huge confrontation between them. Only the little one where Lord shen is crushed by the building, but it didn't reach the epicness of the epic fight with Tai Lung. I also hope that they choose an intimidating villain again in Kung Fu Panda 3. Tai lung really looked like a threat that noone could defeat. Anyone of the furious five could've defeated shen on that boat, but the furious five were no match for tai lung. Just my two cents.

I actually felt it reached an epic climax as how Shen's own burning desire to escape his fate by being beaten by poe defeated him.

Poe didn't defeat Shen. Shen defeated Shen.

And instead of one grand epic fight, you got three smaller (but still good IMO) fights that were spread out.
And Shen did pretty much have the upper hand all through the movie. (Even though he got lucky because Poe spaced out with his flash backs. >__>)
Also, Shen relied on technology because he knew he wouldn't be a match against the kung fu-ers in a hand on hand fight. He resorted to close hand combat when he was backed into the corner.
Sure, Tai Lung had the muscles but Shen had the brains. I would actually have been a bit disappointed if they would have given us another "Legendary Kung fu war machine" type of villain and a story that ends in the same "epic" showdown.

I thought it was odd that the Goat suddenly decided to say she predicted a Panda would stop lord Shen. Before then, she was very careful to say "warrior of black and white" or something.

That Lord Shen was mostly black and white, even with the red patterns, and how he basically died because of his own desire, arrogance, and inner turmoil (and because he accidentally made the cannon fall on top of him) was kind of clever.

It would have been good if the goat had intentionally made her prophecy vague in the hope that Lord Shen would have been introspective and said "Oh, I am black and white, perhaps she is saying this path leads to my own undoing."
