Do you think its strange how popular KFP is in China? Or natural?
I haven't decided either way, but I've been living in China for about 6 months and Kung Fu Panda 2 was a massive event here. Posters everywhere. Everyone talking about it. All the Chinese people at my office went as a group to see it on opening day.
I can't decide if they just like it for what it is, or they're happy to have an American film about China, or what?
I also can't decide if the franchise is specifically designed to appeal to China, which is, I believe, where it made most of its money.
(Side Note: China actually does look like the landscapes in this movie. I've been to some sacred mountain ranges, you need to see it to believe it. China is easily the most beautiful place in the world.)
