I just watched Kung Fu Panda 2 and Cars 2 back to back.

One had a touching story, interesting characters, breath taking animation and art work, great voice work, awesome and funny action scenes, solid pacing and made me laugh.

The other one had Larry the Cable guy for two hours.

I agree, for the first time, a dreamworks movie had a lot more heart and soul than a pixar movie!!

That's wrong. How to Train Your Dragon went up against Toy Story 3. It's a straight up fact that TS3 had more heart.

reply

I got muddled up, but the point still stands, toy story 3 had a lot more heart!

well Up had more heart in its first 10 minutes than toy story 3 and how to trian your dragon put up together in thier whole runtime.
other than that, i found TS3 rather bleak and not as good as the other two. how to train your dragon should have wont the oscar in my personal opinion. but toy story is, of course, a "big name" and thus get noticed much better.

You're allowed to have your opinion. But personally, I enjoyed Cars 2 better than Kung Fu Panda 2. Cars 2 was far from perfect, but it was a fun, enjoyable flick. Kung Fu Panda 2 had its good parts and was far from awful, but had an inconsistent tone and was overall quite dissapointing (for me).

You, my friend, surely don't know where to "get" movies from.

Didn't watch the movie at my place so I don't know where he got the movie from(thought it was a dvd?) or if he downloaded it.
But why do you need English video? I don't remember any important signs, texts etc in the movie.

LOL
Each to his own, but how can you consider that significant enough to not watch it? I havent studied a point Spanish and could figure out that the first one means "Multimillionaire disappeared" and the second one something along "Axlerod Oil closed(actually was "sold" after I googled it).
And even if you have no clue what it means, it's hardly vital to understand the plot. This is a childrens movie, kids who can't read understand it...

That's because one has Gary Oldman while the other does not HAHA! /obvious fangirling right here.

Anyway, I haven't watched Cars 2 but now I am interested. I liked the first one even though a lot of people are hailing it as the worst Pixar movie.

I think it's good, but I thought KFP2 was better.
