The Emotional Connections In the Movie, Mostly Po and Tigress.

Did anybody feel for Po and Tigress in the movie? I re-watched recently and thought there was a deep emotional bond bond going on between them. Like him being the emotional piece she never had as a child due to Shifu's cold sternness because of his problem over Tai Lung.

When she and Po are talking in the boat, I swear she was about to tell him about her being adopted after she went off saying: "I..."

And it was sad when Po thought she was dead after the cannon ship attack.

The whole emotional thing in Kung Fu Panda is really portrayed and thought about. For me those cases are with strongest Po and Tigress and Po and his mom before she leaves in the movie.

The emotion in the movie mirrors close to reality.

Dreamworks relly had a sense for subtlety there, and you don't see something like this very often in an Action/Comedy movie. There definitely was something between them, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in future sequels.

I really think they did that very well, and it's one of the things that sets KFP2 apart from other movies. Good action and good comedy is nice, but a movie with strong emotion that is not overly sentimental is very, very rare.

With Shifu and Po too, is a strong connection. Shifu is like a second father for Po for Kung Fu. They both have things to teach each other unknowingly.

Shifu will learn from Po how to be more relaxed and and Po will learn discipline.

Shifu nearly had a heart attack after having that vision of Po being shot by the cannon.

The bond that Shifu and Po have is a like a father and son relationship since they do learn things from each other such as displine and relaxing.
