I usually dont like these types of films but I really enjoyed both films. In fact I loved them! I really hope the make a 3rd!

There will be a third. In fact, there's also going to be a fourth, fifth, and sixth since the first two were well-received.

Yep, I'm serious. Personally, I'm not really sure what to think of it all. I just hope DreamWorks doesn't give it the Shrek treatment.

I will be delighted to see a third movie. The second one really met the level of the first, but I also think it should stop there to preserve the quality in writing, animation, and character building that the series has shown. It would appear the third movie will evolve around Po meeting up with his father and other panda's. I can imagine the subplot involving Po getting a little big headed as the Dragon Warrior and disconnecting from the Furious Five only to come back to his "roots" and appreciate his friends as part of his greatness. That's just a guess, of course.

They need to stop at 3. No franchise has been able to successfully churn out a plethora of sequels, and keep the quality intact.

They also really set the bar high with the second movie. If they can't hurdle it, then more attempts shouldn't follow.

I have to disagree. The Fast and the Furious franchise has continually been able to pump out the same quality of rubbish for 5 movies thus far.

It's my understanding that there will be two more movies made, but I could be wrong.

So, if that's the case then the next movie won't come out until the earliest... 2015.

Read this morning that 'Kung Fu Panda 3' won't be out until 2017

Each film takes about 4 years to produce.
They don't try to rush anything and take their time.
That's why the first two movies were so damn good.
I hope they stop on the third one though.

the two movies sucked, the only good sequel to a pixar movie is 'monsters inc'

so damn good? they would rush it out if they wanted to, the whole point to the movie showing panda's parents being alive still is to give an opportunity to make 3 if they so choose to

i.e if they can't be original and think of something cool they can ALWAYS squeeze out some B.S and make a sequel and eat more money from retards such as yourself

hence why they made 'toy story3' when frankly they should've just let it die at part 2

which btw since i'm talking about toy story...the bear wasn't even evil, and he was just treated like crap, the outcast, but no one EVER feels sorry for the outcast, what a horrible thing to teach to our kids, he gets treated like crap in toy story 3 (the bear) just like the poor guy in 'kungfu panda 1'

There will be a third movie but only in 2016. That's a loong time to wait for a sequel for a kids movie. This sequel was amazing though. IMO, better than the first one.
