Rare to see a Teen Sex Comedy from the POV of a girl

Okay this movie wasn't great but it was by no means the 'worst movie ever' and it did boast something pretty original which was a female lead in a raunchy Teen Sex Comedy. It is very rare to see a girl making a fool out of herself in the pursuit of sex and even rarer still for the female lead to disrobe in the name of comedy.

We're used to seeing Jason Biggs, Sean William Scott, Ryan Reynolds et al act the goof and flash the buns for laughs but it is very rare to see any lead actresses commit to this.

18 Yr Old Virgin is not a great movie and quite obviously let down by it's meager budget and terrible cinematography but it is far better than the much moe expensive straight to DVD American Pie sequels primarily because of a brave, funny and endearing central performance from OLIVIA ALAINA MAY who managed to be both wholesome, quirky and hot. She and some of her supporting cast (her best pal and true love) make this watchable.

Guys are the target audience. Very few sex comedies starring females. I own THE PRINCESS ACADEMY, but been a while since I last watched it.

I love sex comedies. Written five of my own right now. I considered making one starring women, but I'm a guy, don't know it I want a girl to carry the film. Also, if it was made, what guy would want girls spying on naked guys in the shower?

You could always make it be about a group of friends and make one of them a bisexual girl.

You always get comedies about stright guys or girls. But never any Bi people. I want a movie focusing on a horny bi girl

Granted, few sex comedies or other movies are from a female's point of view, but that's not enough to recommend this. I'd guess many ladies would be turned off by the female lead's desperate attempts to get boffed that evening. The movie had a few hot looking bodies, and a couple of later jokes connected, but most were crude and unfunny.

So a movie about a bi that spies on girls and guys? How many people could actually relate? Also, they pretty much just fall into the same audience.

I wonder, a sex comedy with an Asexual character?

I agree. I enjoyed this movie and it could have been better, but as you say, it wasn't the worst movie ever. Plus, who knew proper english could be so arousing?

You can have a teen sex comedy with the girl as the main character, as long as you still have the nudity and gross out humor. There are a lot of girls who enjoy that kind of thing as much as guys and don't mind seeing a few naked girls. And if you have to show some dude's ass, so what, there are plenty of funny movies geared towards guys showing man ass.

The problem with this film was it just wasn't very funny, with a lot of the jokes lifted from other films like "Just Another Teen Comedy" and so on.
