According to the plot of xXx: State of the Union, the reason for recruiting Ice Cube's character was because Xander Cage was murdered. A deleted scene showed him being blown up.
How are they going to explain his unexplained resurrection since I'm pretty sure the CIA like agency Xander was recruited into, wouldn't be fooled by him faking his death

Faked footage? The faked death is in like, everything, and is always explained even if it isn't explained well. And even the CIA makes mistakes, none quite as bad as the mistake of the making the State of the Union. I don't know how they could have made that movie any worse if they tried. Too bad as it could have been, should have been rather, good.
I thought they recruited Cube's character because all the other agents, including Xander, were killed.
I'm not sure if I'll bother with this one.
