This should have been directed by JOHN WOO and R RATED
I'm not against this movie, but i feel like it's a missed opportunity...

shareI feel like it's fifteen years too late ffs.
What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
I think what you want to see is a different kind of movie. I would love to see Jon Woo work with Vin Diesel (or someone else) on one of his old style bullet ballet movies. Hell, do a sequel to Hard Boiled with a retired Tequila pulled back into action. The Triple X movie is about an extreme athlete using his unique skill set in a spy environment, you don't need a hard R rating to showcase that kind of stunt work, so PG13 is fine.
shareI think the film would benefit a lot from an R rating, it needs female nudity, bloody kills and Sam Jackson swearing.
shareVery true on the Sam Jackson part, PG13 Sam Jackson lacks some punch. I love female nudity, but gratuitous bikini shots work for this, and I think this franchise is more about crazy stunts than bloody kills.

John Woo only directed two good Hollywood movies, Hard Target and Fave/Off and even they were basically watered down versions of his ultraviolent Hong Kong bullet ballets. Eastern directors are puppets to the studio heads just like most directors, theres no point in them directing when their work would not be allowed to be any different to the guy who is currently directing.
shareBroken Arrow is very good, watch it again.
