Girls and guns! Xander Cage is back!

It's like the trailer is desperately trying to appeal to an audience a decade too late. Vin just looks old and uncool at this point hooking up with women that could be his daughters.

Unfortunately middle age men hooking up with women half there age on screen and in real life is a Hollywood tradition.

If the ladies in question have no issue with it, you should not have any issues either.

Although I am planning to see it, that part of the trailer made me cringe.

All I need is one mic...

Looks funny i just wish it was directed by JOHN WOO and R rated.

Hey man, Jean Luc Goddard said that all you need to make a movie is a girl and a gun.

Whatever you are, be a good one.

I love how they are acting like Xander Cage is some iconic character like Indiana Jones. Does anyone actually care that "he is back"? I would imagine even the majority of people that saw XXX 15 years ago don't remember what his name was. That movie also has not left an imprint on the culture. Bringing up Indiana Jones, the original 3 are movies that are still watched regularly to this day. Do you know of anyone that rewatches XXX? It is weird they are making a sequel, especially 15 years later. It will likely bomb unless the Fast and Furious crowd really jumps on it.

I could not agree more. The ads make it seem as though the original succeeded in its attempt to "reinvent the spy genre". Ironically all it did was use the same template of the Bond films and use an "extreme sports" star as the hero. That's it.

At the time it was released "extreme sports" was a fad, Vin Diesel and director Rob Cohen just came off of "Fast and the Furious", and Die Another Day was right around the corner.

They wanted this to be the next big thing.

Ironically a much smalle movie called "The Bourne Identity" came out and actually DID reinvent the sub genre.

Now I didn't like "Jason Bourne" at all, but that franchise earned the "Bourne is back!" Headline. This earns the "Vin just really needs another franchise" headline.
