Which characters die and how?

Basically the only notable characters who die are Toni Collette and Tony Gonzalez (both are killed by being thrown out of the plane in final action sequence, Collette by Donnie Yen, and Gonzalez by Vin Diesel).

None of the hero characters die (they try and make you think Samuel L Jackson dies in the beginning but he comes back at the end, though his role is just those two scenes).
