89% on Rotten Tomatoes

Definitely going to go down especially with the small amount of ratings right now and the average rating being a 6/10. Atleast it's better than starting off rotten.

I know I know rotten tomatoes is losing its credibility and such that's why I'm converting to metacritic. As you can see it's a difficult yet very imperitive change.

It's weird though. Most of the reviews give it a 3/5 and have the same general sentiment: it's a fun, dumb action flick. Most of the reviewers are also foreigners (to the US). Something fishy may be going on.

Wasn't it released in India a week ago, and some other countries?

reply

It got mostly poor reviews from Indian critics.

i have seen the movie and i'll give it a 5 so yeah there's no chance it ends up fresh on RT, not saying that everyone will have my opinion but it's not a very good movie. It doesn't take itself too seriously but even then it was way too over the top and predictable

Who cares what the rating is on Rotten Tomatoes???? This ain't the kind of movie That's gonna get a great rating from there. Don't let a website dictate you seeing a movie. Grow up.

It isn't a website that decides the score. All they do is put together the aggregate of what critics think of a film and give you the percentage of who liked it. Sheesh. This site has been around forever. How in the world are there people out there that still don't know or understand this? Rotten Tomatoes doesn't decide or dictate really anything.

I know what it is. All I keep reading is how everyone is all like, "let's check RT!" who cares what the score is???

reply

OK then.

I actually agree with you. Sometimes movies are much better than what all the critics say and very often they are far worse than what they say. Critics love to rip down movies like XXX anyway so it could end being a lot of fun.

It is a fun movie

Only thing RT would be good for is helping a small independent movie get more notice on how good it is. Checking the RT score on a movie like this is straight retarded. Take that to the zoo.

Just reading things like "RT score is low so it's a bomb" is grating and absurd. If the movie looks interesting then check it out. Lots of people bashing the movie bc it's easy and everyone is doing it. If you watch it and the movie sucks, then bash it. But if you haven't, then you shouldn't knock it till you try it.
