Um, Birdman won an Oscar for Best Picture, your comparison doesn't work. Anyway, it's kind of to be expected this wouldn't get stellar reviews, the original wasn't exactly a critical darling either and State of the Union was, well, one of if not the worst movie of its year. Long as its better than State of the Union I'm good I guess.

Last I heard, it had a 60% on RT. Honestly better than I expected for this.
