shareGet out of here yourself, please. He was an "acclaimed" weak spot of this movie. The one and only reason for his existence was to include the Chinese actor to increase the movie's chances to gross much in this country. But this didn't work. Even Chinese saw how bad he was in it, lol. He just could have been replaced with pretty much anyone else from a different nation.

Actually as much as he is not an actor's actor, but more of an action hero type, he was one of the highlights of the movie. I had low expectations for him, even though he's my favorite HK martial artist movie star, but he was really good

shareWell, from what I've read, the major amount of reviews didn't even list him or descript his acting work, and the others was pretty moderate. In full honesty, I didn't encounter much reviews where he was called great or one of the best supporting characters. He was a plot function rather than a character in the full sense of this word.

He is a good actor. Movies like the Ip Man trilogy, Wu Xia, The Monkey King all show this.
