Why watch this when FF8 is coming out?

Because brainless action movies are a part of a healthy cinematic diet. You need more than one a year.

And I can guarantee you that this will be better than the latest Resident Evil or Underworld movie.

Because I don't watch one movie a year. I rather have a decent action film every week. I would like more R rated action films. I would like there to be a few Donnie yen films in the theatre. I want Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins films in the theatre.

The best action film this year is not going to be FF8. I'm not really looking forward to that. It's going to be John Wick Chapter 2 and probably Logan. I just can't wait for an R rated Wolverine films. Some of my favourite comic book films are R rated like Blade and Balde 2, Punisher Warzone, Sin City and Deadpool.

Hopefully Donnie Yen will come out with a new Hong Kong action film as they are usually a lot better shot then American one. Yen usually use a month to shoot one fight scene, just to get it right. You don't see that perfectionism in American fight scene.

Donnie does have a Hong Kong movie coming out where he plays Cripple Ho. A role previously played by Flashpoint costar Ray Lui in the 1991 classic "To Be Number One" (awesome flick by the way. Perfect gangster flick)
