Anyone seen the original more than once?

Specifically, at least on one other occasion after seeing XXX I during it's original theatrical run back in '02. I wasn't aware that the "series" was either venerated nor even remembered enough to warrant a resucitation.

Yes, I remember enjoying it when I was younger (13-14 when the original came out).

Watched again a few years ago and wow was it worse than my youthful memories had me believing. Mostly, it was the dialog, just horrible writing.

I have. I even own it. I saw it in theaters around the time it came out when I turned 16. I remember thinking it was entertaining yet cheesy and tried too hard to be hip. I didn't watch it a second time until nearly a decade later. I still enjoyed the action and the stunts, but at the same time I saw how dated a lot of elements were with the whole extreme sports stuff and its obvious catering to the young crowd.

All I need is one mic...

Seen it hundreds of times. It's one of my favourite movies. (I love cheese). However, I have no desire to see this movie whatsoever. The window for a sequel closed long ago. I'll see it eventually, but i'm saving my precious ducats for Res Evil 6.

If you love cheese you will love this. This is so over the top. It knows it is dumb and embraces it. It?s like a live action cartoon.

The only thing that concerns me is the trailer makes it look like Vin playing second fiddle to Charlie's Angels.

Vin is definitely the main character though the only one who upstages him a bit is Donnie Yen who is just amazing anyway. With guys like Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, an Michael Bisping in the mix you know you are getting a lot of mindless action.

no,once was more than enough for the first one, I liked his Chronicles Of Riddick(2004) much better--seen it ten times

I dont think many people saw it even that many times...

So many times, I've owned it for so long, I just have fun with that movie, I enjoy the characters, the silly plot & the ridiculousness of it all

I've seen State of the Union plenty also, fair to say I'm one of those people who was always open to more xXx

I saw XXX when it was originally released to DVD back in 2003. I recall when it was released, they were heavily hyping it as a competitor to James Bond and how hard they tried to appear hip by catering to skateboarders, extreme sports junkies and the nu-metal crowd (Rammstein even had a cameo).

I thought the film was awful on first viewing and had the same feelings when I rewatched it last month.

I've grown to enjoy Diesel in the right roles (like his voiceovers in Iron Giant and Guardians, the Riddick films, Saving Private Ryan, Boiler Room, Knockaround Guys and of course, The Fast & Furious sequels are cheesy fun), but his performance in XXX acts like a checklist of all of his weakest aspects as a performer. Asia Argento's a very sexy woman, but she and Diesel exhibit zero chemistry. The action sequences, while competently shot, never feel thrilling because Xander Cage is too indestructible and never gives off that he's in danger.

Nice locations though.
