Cinema viewers make me sick!!!! I BLAME THEM!!!!

I look at my local cinema locations. "lets have a movie day"

Wait....Huh....WTF???

Here are the sessions!!!!

Allied x 1
ASS Creed x 2
Will Smith doing drama x 1
Stienfeld... is she or isnt she??? x 1
An indian movie x 1
White people dancing x 3
Awesome in Slumdog... why Airbender? x 4
kids x 4
kids x 3
kids x 5
kids x 2
Starlord vs Mystic x 5
Better than ep.7 x 3

XXX has 24 sessions today at my local.

Everything i want to see is on at 9:30am or 9:30pm
Everything worth seeing that is on at a descent time i have done so already.

Conclusion.

My area is full of dumb ass people who go to see dumb ass movies so the cinema has to cater to this.

I know by next week once all the dumb ass people have seen this and there will be only 5x sessions per day and might have a better chance to see a movie i like but damn am i pissed off right now.

I wrote this fast so take post if you agree/ don't troll any punctuation mistakes :)

Please take your input and gently push it up your bum. This is a IMDB page, they don't control your local cinema sessions.

reply

wow you sound ignorant. This is a forum to discuss film matters.

Your theatre caters to the people in your area? What a crazy concept.

Seems like you have lots of options, it's just that you're a bit of a snob about movies. Try Rogue One, it's good.

Also, relax. You clearly have some serious first world problems, but things are going to be okay.

reply

Watched Rogue one twice.
Not a snob, every movie i wanted to see was playing at 10am or 930pm. This is my point.

You want to talk about first world problems.... my 4G on my phone keeps cutting out intermittently and pausing my netflix binge watching. DONT TELL ME THINGS ARE GOING TO BE OK!!! IM ON 3g... have to watch Orange Black in 480p.

Ill have a soothing green tea and try to relax :)

I agree with you.
I work shifts so usually prefer to go to the cinema during the day if I am up at 4 or 5 am.

But I often find that the films I want to see are only on once a day,in the evening.

At the moment Live By Night is only showing twice a day but films like Star Wars are on all the time.

I understand that the cinemas need to make money but lots of people don't work 9-5 nowadays.
But on the other hand I sometimes catch obscure films that they show during the day.

xXx is more fun than star wars and assassins creed. Not better, but waaay funnier.

It also has the best opening fight sequence in a very, very long time.

You must live in a slum area or something. Here's what my local theater is playing this week:

- Lawrence of Arabia, in a brand new 70mm print.
- The Magnificent Ambersons, the fully-reconstructed version as Welles originally intended.
- How the West Was Won, in original 3-strip/3-projector Cinerama.
- A Powell & Presburger retrospective, including Black Narcissus, The Red Shoes and The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp in newly-struck Technicolor prints.
- Koyanisqatsi, accompanied live by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Philip Glass.

All features are to be preceded by a brief recital featuring Dave Wickerham playing the theater's newly-restored 5/80 Wurlitzer theater organ.

The theater is scheduled to be torn down the following week to make way for a new Walmart.
