I wouldn't mind seeing another one that actually takes the subject seriously instead of using it as fodder for cheap, sensationalistic horror films.

I feel like the first Exorcist film did this. The only other movie I can think of that also treated possession as a potentially genuine supernatural phenomenon is The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Everything else that I've seen is just bullshit.

No. It's the cinematic equivalent of ending up on the receiving end of Hakim's affections in the showers at state pen, sans lube of any sort... If you derive pleasure from immense agony, you'll probably enjoy both the buggering and TE:B
