Do surgeons allow family members to be present during major surgeries? No.

I also don’t remember in the original film the priests saying “Chris, we’d love for you to come in this room and watch us perform an exorcism on your daughter, but you’re a woman, so you can’t.” I also don’t recall her making a big stink because she couldn’t be in the room. She just wanted her daughter to be saved.

It’s politically motivated garbage writing, and it ruined a character. That one line. Instead of being grateful that these two priests saved her daughter’s life, and died doing it, she’s bitching because she says she wasn’t allowed in the room because of “The Patriarchy”. Give me a goddamn break. There is no point or reason for this to be in the movie, except they just wanted to toss some political garbage in there because it’s 2023, and people can’t resist pointless political preaching every 5 seconds.

It’s getting really old.
