My idea for a prequel

Imagine if they made a movie about the beginning where He Who Walks Behind The Rows begins corrupting the children. Some adults would be suspicious; others wouldn't be. The children would gradually be drawn in along with a few deaths and disappearances of interfering and suspicious adults. The "Blue Man," a priest from the church, and maybe a female school teacher would be the adult protagonists who survive until the end of the massacre (which would be the last half-hour or so of the movie), but ultimately the children would have to win in the end.

Going off topic a little but I wonder how Stephen King was inspired to write. I think he has said before he is inspired by little experiences in his life that were weird. I think he said at one time that he was inspired to write The Shining because he was somewhere with his family for a while and they were either enclosed in together or secluded or something. I don't know for sure if he said that but I thought I read that somewhere. I wonder if he ever passed through a really small town and the people were kind of weird and old fashioned. That could inspire a story like Children of the Corn. Also.... I think a prequel would be good too. I would like to see how the kid stopped aging and how he became a psycho little preacher.
