What is the deal with that wife ?
She's a bigger horror show than those kids. Not one moment of tenderness to be found.

shareAs I female myself, I too found the wife character highly annoying. I mean, I totally get what it's like to be unhappily married, I've been there. But she was so ridiculously nasty to him every time she opened her mouth, it was starting to piss ME off having to listen to her. I learned very quickly in my younger days that being a turbo-bitch to any man about any subject almost never got me what I wanted. He might've actually listened to her and left if she hadn't been so damn mean to him about everything. But then we wouldn't have a story. So I get it.

Haven't seen it but it sounds like she was fairly true to the book. Vicky had two modes during the short story. Bitch and terrified.
