A funny film with good characters that does not deserve the hate

Most remakes don't live up to the original. So what's the big deal with this not catching the same lightning in the same bottle?

The reaction to this film would be hilarious if it wasn't a sad reflection of people's obsession with control over the narrative of popular culture, what it's for and who it's for.

reply

You know what it doesn't deserve? It doesn't deserve to be made at all.

reply

Neither does any remake, for that matter.

reply

Nah, some remakes are fine. But not this remake.

reply

So Ghostbusters didn't deserve a remake?

reply

This remake didn't deserve to exist.

reply

If it didn't exist you wouldn't know if it was good or not.

Try again. There is a definitely a combination of words out there that says what it is that you're trying to say.

reply

I know because it exists, it just didn't deserve to. That's all I was saying.

reply

You're saying it doesn't deserve existence.

But if it didn't exist you wouldn't be able to say it's bad. Ergo, you don't deserve to say that.

Is that what you mean? Because that's what you are saying

reply

If that's the way you reason, no wonder you like this turd.

reply

It's not the way I reason. It's their words. Not my fault if they cannot form their opinion into something coherent.

reply

You almost managed to say something intelligent there. Almost...

This film being 'bad' isn't even subjective. From all angles, it was a dreadful, bitter, offensively unfunny piece of shit.

Pick your battles...

reply

Fuck yourself

reply

Ha. That's actually pretty articulate for a fan of Ghostbusters '16...

reply

It's an incredible funny movie. If Adam Sandler and Kevin James movies are your brand of humour.
