Better than expected!

While not the original by any means, it wasn't a bad movie. I watched it expecting complete garbage but was pleasantly shocked. I found myself laughing at a lot of it. If you don't try to compare it to the 1984 classic you may enjoy it. My kids loved it too. Even they think the original was best but it was pretty fun.

Slight fix:

If you don't try to compare it to quality comedy you may enjoy it.

Still, no. I gave it a chance and the 'comedy' was comparable to Chuck Lorre's laughtrack-comedy.

Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of better comedies but it didn't me cringe like some of the stuff Hollywood is cranking out and it had some funny parts. I've sat thru a lot worse.
