could it be an award winning film

could it be an award winning film for van damme as he has said it is a personal film

reply

who expects any van damme films to get awards? as long they are good i am happy.

reply

Nobody expects him to get any awards. But if J.C.V.D. is anything to go by, I think it should get some recognition at some award ceremony.

reply

I think the only problem with the whole concept. Is that Van Damme play a troubled taxi driver in Bangkok.

A white taxi driver in Bangkok... it's a bit unreal and the taxi driver part reminds me of "Taxi Driver" by Martin Scorsese.

I truly invite Mr. Van Damme to surprise and make the best film ever, but because of these elements I have my enthusiam well curbed.

The real part it's that their is a *beep* load of russian, turkish, Kazatstan prostitutes in Asia.

On the other hand I personally live in Bangkok at the moment. I did meet people who worked on the set they told me that JCVD was a very nice, soulful and spiritual person and that he was great working with. Everyone putted their energy into it because he was very positive, etc.

So to be honest it's 50/50 chance of being good, bad or it might be an un-even film with great and bad moments.

I do think there is a great chance that it can get some "award" consideration. Jean-Claudes "directing/writing" of this unique film could qualify. Also there is word that the performance by Josef Cannon in the role of "Bobby Jackson", the alcoholic, paraplegic best friend of JC shines in every scene he's in, even lifting the performance of JC to a level never seen before, even better then the one given in J.C.V.D Adam Karst, also gives a performance that some say is a cross between a "handsome" JFK Jr. & Al Pacino in Scarface. 2009 and TEP will be something to watch for

i am guessing you are one of the people associated with this film if tep is as good as you say then why are no distributors lining up to buy this then? every time a black guy shows a slight hint of any acting ability there immediately up for an award this film will suck. just like you and your stupid comments do. the costars are nobodies and starring in a dtv film will not help them. the only similarities between this film and scarface is the fact that both films have alot of cocaine in it. except jean claude van damme was putting it up his nose.

reply

First of all you guess wrong I'm "not' associated with the film and your attempt at an insult illustrates the obvious envy. The film will be fantastic, the actors involved will support my claims. It has been written where the actor who plays bobby jackson spent SEVEN months total in a wheel chair to prepare for the role. this has NOTHING to do with color. ironically it was also an IRISH actor, daniel day Lewis who did a wonderful job in the movie, "My Left foot" and no one said anything about his color they just focused on his performance. I hope you're enjoying your guiness.

reply

and you would know he spent seven months in a wheel chair because you were sucking his cock at the same time. you shoudl be careful where you post this *beep* because your tonuge could not be further up josefs ass. you were associated with the film because your writings proved it.

Being supportive of hard work and great acting doesn't make one associated with the project. it just means that i'm secure enough in my own manhood and success not be jealous of someone else's good fortune. It's obvious your life is miserable, maybe if you had a C**K big enough to suck on you wouldn't be so frustrated!

lovelaugh90292 were did you get your info?

reply

I personally haven't seen any part of the film but a reliable source was lucky enough to see over an hour of footage. The statement given by me was based on the information provided. This source is well respected in the industry and their opinion is one I've always trusted.

reply

If you go on you tube there is an interview with the actor and it seems he did a lot of work to get into it.

Therefore he should do a great job.

After seeing THAT trailer i dont think it will win even the golden RASPBERRY ;)!

reply

Haha... Just watched the trailer... God what a fall from grace.... He follows up JCVD with THIS???... Another boiler plate dime'a'dozen action film which wreaks of generic....
After JCVD there was such buzz!.. Such excitement that perhaps Van Damme's career would change to a more positive direction... It seems more and more likely that isn't going to happen.

reply

Why don't you watch the movie first before making that judgment.
