Never Heard of This Show Before

Saw it on Netflix and it looked like a fun premise. Now every episode I find myself laughing out loud a lot (a lot of sitcoms and shows cannot illicit more than a smirk from me), and getting caught up in the emotions when things get heavy. Margaret Cho is always hilarious, and her stoic and sarcastic delivery is epic, the actress who plays Jane is phenomenal, great at physical and verbal comedy, incredible range when things get serious... this is a lovely Netflix find.

I only recently started watching it and I agree. Margaret Cho is fantastic, and Jane is so likeable and does a great job portraying both Jane and Deb in one character. One thing I don't get is why Fred's character is in and out of the series so much. It's like they couldn't decide if they wanted him on the show or not. Other than that, so far so good

The actor who played Fred was doing other shows. One of them was Mad Men.

Yeah, same here. Wonder what day and network it was on. Maybe I was watching some other show during that time slot back then.
